What to write about

Wrong or outdated specs — highest priority. Requirements move; if a figure on a card or a country page no longer matches the issuing authority, send the official page or notice and we’ll correct it in the next dataset review. Please include the country, the document type and what changed. If a portal page and a printed rule disagree, tell us which channel you applied through — those splits are exactly what the notes are for.

Missing countries or documents. The dataset is deliberately small and verified rather than large and guessed — sixteen specs at launch. Tell us which country and document you needed and how often; real demand decides what gets researched and added next.

A ‘verify’ flag you can clear. If you have the authoritative source for a flagged spec — Brazil’s head band is the current example — send it and we’ll replace the flag with the cited number.

Site feedback. A widget that misbehaves, an accessibility problem, a translation that reads like a machine wrote it — include the page URL and your browser. We read everything.

Before you write — two quick answers

• “Why does your number differ from site X?” Check the verification date on both — specs drift (India changed in September 2025), and older pages frequently quote retired rules. The authority link on each card is the tiebreaker.
• “Will my photo be accepted?” We genuinely can’t say — only the issuing authority decides, and edge cases (religious headwear, infant photos, medical exceptions) are officer judgement. What we can tell you is the exact published target to aim for.
